Say hello to new face of CPC website

The research activities in Universiti Sains Malaysia on advanced materials, in particular on polymer composites were started in early 1990s. Our research covers a very wide range of topics, from synthesis, processing and characterization of micro sized-composites and nano sized-composites. The mission of Cluster for Polymer Composites (CPC) is to foster multi/inter-disciplinary research into the scientific and technological problem of polymer composites, processing, properties, design and fabrication associated with polymer composites. CPC provides a platform for advanced thinking in the field of polymer composite, undertakes and co-ordinates research projects in this rapidly expanding area, including the generation of new ideas in collaboration with commercial, industrial and governments needs. These include automotive and other transportation systems, construction, aerospace industries and medical applications. Members of CPC have been actively involved in conducting research activities, organizing research-oriented seminar and conference, publishing research finding in both international and national journals, securing new research grants from Malaysian government, industries, national and international institution.  We are also actively involved in fostering linkages with academic institution and industries, both locally and abroad. With the proper strategic planning and continuous support from all the stake-holders, it will bring the achievement of CPC to a greater height in the future.
